LEVEL 1:

This course is designed to offer the student an avenue to enter the Pet Grooming Profession in a relatively short period of time. Students will concentrate on basic pet grooming of dogs and cats, including brushing, combing, clipping nails and cleaning ears, preparatory clipping, bathing, drying and basic finishing techniques for various long haired, short haired and double coated breeds, including the kennel trim. Students who have some prior experience and show proficiency in basic grooming will begin breed grooming in this Level.

LEVEL 2:

Students must complete Level 1 before entering Level 2. Students in Level 2 will be taught to properly groom the popular breeds of dogs and cats encountered in a typical grooming shop. Concentration will be on grooming Poodles, Cocker Spaniels and Schnauzers, along with other popular breeds according to breed standards.

LEVEL 3:

Students must complete Level 2 before entering Level 3. Students in Level 3 will be taught to perfect their grooming skills, concentrating on proper breed profile, increase speed and efficiency and develop maximum grooming potential.
